"Ripped Laces recommends" is all about highlighting a shoes performance and feel without going through a lengthy, annoying & technical read. It's all about giving you the facts, straight up. This section is mainly dedicated to those shoes we absolutely love to skate on our off time of doing reviews. Now, we'll accept the notion that this sounds fucking ridiculous because: why would anyone need to skate another shoe when you're already reviewing one? The truth of the matter is, sometimes we don't want to collect data & just want to skate a shoe aimlessly and enjoy ourselves, you know....how we use to before we started reviewing & critiquing shoes. You must be thinking "Those poor bastards" & we're glad you don't have to know our pain.

As much as we knocked California for their pizza, the overall atmosphere of LA, blaming the state for the majority of pollution on earth and our back problems from taking a flight there, not all was lost. One of the better memories we have of the trip was receiving a pair of these RCT's from the good people at Etnies. They weren't intended for review or anything, just something to wear and enjoy. Sure as shit, we did just that. In the recent weeks since coming back from LA, we've been on and off reviews and sneak peeks but our getaway from all of this work has been skating in the RCT's.

Aside from its simplicity, this shoe in particular doesn't intend on breaking boundaries or making your wildest dreams come true, it's a skate shoe and it feels exactly like one. With a specific engineered toe for a perfect flick every time and boardfeel that we can go on about for days, the Etnies team put together a product that won't last forever but will leave a lasting impression. It's guaranteed to break down as every shoe is but the security in all your tricks will be more than enough to keep coming back to the RCT. If you don't believe us, there are plenty of reasons why it's their most popular team model to date. The slip-on feeling from the RCT's give that perfect amount of padding without taking away much boardfeel. Oh and they happen to run a half size small in our case but be sure to double check seeing as how everyone is different. We're happy with our size 11 verses our normal 11.5 because vulcanize shoes tend to stretch over time and these fit perfect in a 11. We currently don't have a estimated life-span on the shoe, but with all the information we provided above, feel confident in knowing that you're gonna have a good ride in these.
