"Hurry up and Buy!"

If you haven't heard by now, Gravis shit the bed.

Well, kinda.

Burton, snowboarding giant, issued a statement with a long interview to follow about how they're transitioning back into their snowboarding roots. In a lengthy interview about statistics, numbers and how they're privately owned, Jake Burton stated that this has been "a long time coming" of sorts for the brands involved.

Rather than having you read through it, we'll give you the short version of what this all means:

1. Gravis will now only be available and based in Asia and Asia only. This news means that you'll no longer be able to find Gravis in North America, the Southern Hemisphere or Europe. If they decide to keep Dylan Rieder along for the ride, expect him to be featured in some anime or as a doll soon.

2. Analog will now be snowboarding only. This isn't the biggest hit compared to the loss of Gravis but no lie, we were fans of the Arto jean.

3. We're all pushing for Jake Johnson to get on Emerica & Arto to potentially get back on Etnies. Not meant as a backhanded statement but if he went back to FLIP from AWS, then he should go back to Etnies with ease. (We were fans of AWS Arto too.)

Sorry about the rant on number 3. Just had to get the word out.

Someone send Dyrdek a fruit basket or a gift certificate to Build-a-Bear or some shit for lifting AWS & Habitat out of Burton's hands when he did, otherwise shit would've hit the fan HARD.

Official info here.

Shout out to Gunnar for sending us this link right as we got out of work.
Follow his footsteps and send us news if we're ever slacking.

  1. Do you know if we can still buy Gravis online? Or will we have to travel to Asia to buy our Quarters and Filters?
