Sneak Peek: Emerica G6

Details about the G6. (click to enlarge)

Originally, this sneak peek was intended to be an "insta-gratification" article but we've got more than just a filtered instagram photo this time around. After some heavy digging through the scary depths of the internet, we bring you this Emerica G6 exclusive sneak peek. From an insiders point of view, suspense has been building up for quite sometime regarding whats next to come from Emerica. After sitting on a reliable set of models like the Reynolds 3, Hsu 1's & more recently, the G-Code, you've definitely asked yourself: Where's that new hot fire from Emerica?

Thankfully, we've been blessed with ability to check out whats to come from one of our favorite brands & we can assure you, they won't disappoint. As if you couldn't tell in the photo above, the new G6 features Emerica's newest technology to date. After carefully analyzing each spec in the photo, you'll notice how much attention to detail there is with each section of the G6. Possibly the most mind blowing of all features is their three-part midsole system. Each layer is carefully & strategically placed under one another to give you the most superior cushioning & shock absorption technology possible. Aside from that, we couldn't help but notice all the subtle details involved with the G6 as well. It's everything you've ever envisioned putting into a shoe but it's actually there for once. We're of course speaking of the solid heel tread panel & medial mid-foot tread panel. Everyone heel drags when coming to a full stop or when pussying out of a trick, so why hasn't this been implemented into everyday footwear until now? We know of a couple of other brands that have done it in the past with select models but their is practically no need to leave it out when designing a new shoe. It's as essential as the tongue. Before we continue ranting, let's not forget about the medial mid-foot tread panel; it was developed to prevent injury & all pain related issues that come with landing primo. This idea has been around for sometime but it's truthfully never been fused or executed correctly into the shoe. The most that has ever been done with preventative primo technology was a full piece of plastic in the center of a stock insole from another brand & that didn't stick around for too long anyway. Emerica seems to have everything under control but we're still dying to see if they've perfected a very faulty problem for most in the past. Review anyone...?

Expect these on your feet for Spring '13.

Most of all, I know everyone is extremely hyped to see a new outsole from Emerica. After carefully keeping their ears open to consumers remarks, Emerica's design team went back to the drawing board & have exactly what people have been asking for, deeper tread marks. They've strayed away from the classic herringbone tread pattern that you were getting tired of and are refreshing your feet with a triangle tread pattern that is sure to make a substantial difference in grip & boardfeel. Their reputation has always been beyond belief when it comes to the release of their newer models and this time is no different with the G6.

We're looking forward to this model around Spring 2013 & you should too. Time couldn't move any slower....
Mandatory buy for the White/Gum model. No excuses.

  5. I love the slight touches of the OG Reynolds that I gotta believe was Herm's idea to incorporate(like the tongue).I know he loved the OG Reynolds (who didn't?!) and I think it's a brilliant nod to a great classic that came out 14 years ago.

  9. Cupsoles for life! At last skateboarding shoe industry become reasonable. I was getting sick of seeing white vulcanised soles only been made as new models.
